Zurich. Other confederations that are affiliated with FIFA are: OFC (Oceania
Football Confederation), UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), AFC
(Asian Football Confederation) , CAF (Confederation of African Football),
CONCACAF (Confederation of North America, Central America and Caribbean
Association Football) and CONMEBOL (South African Football Confederation). The
First match of soccer played in 1863.
An interesting
match of soccer was played between Manchester United and Arsenal on November 10th,
2013. This proved to be a very important match for Man City as it is considered
their biggest win of the season. Gunners were defeated by zero goals to one.
Manchester united kept their hold on the pitch since the very start but the
game did not have any pace until the 27th minute. That was when Van
Persie scored a brilliant goal against Arsenal. Arsenal tried to redeem in the
33rd minute but missed their chance. Szczesny needed little
treatment after his head clash with Jones. Flamini also got a yellow card
because of the foul that he played with Phil Jones. The first half ended
without receiving any spectacular performances from either side.
In the second
half, Vidic of Man City got injured after crashing with David De Gea and
unfortunately, he did not come back in the game. Arsenal performed with a
little improvement. They got better chances at goal too but it was not their
day. Ozil, Ramsey and Vermaelen played notably well. Man City almost had a
second goal but Rooney was out of luck. In the last quarter, match got more
heated as people were literally hooked to the screens and sites for the live scores. Smalling missed the free kick and centre back
stopped Giroud at excellent timing. The match ended with 1-0, proving to be a
very lucky one for the Red Devils.
